Jeffrey Raikes is an American technology executive and philanthropist, best known for his work at Microsoft and the creation of the Raikes Foundation. Raikes was born in Nebraska in 1958 and graduated from Stanford University with a degree in engineering. He began his career at Microsoft in 1981, where he eventually rose to the position of President of the Microsoft Business Division in 2008. Raikes retired from Microsoft in 2014 and focused his efforts on philanthropy. He and his wife Tricia founded the Raikes Foundation in 2002, which aims to improve the lives of young people in the United States through their education and development. The foundation has funded numerous initiatives in education and human services, particularly in the Pacific Northwest region where the Raikes family is based. Raikes has also served on various boards, including the Seattle Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, and the United Way.
